England Are An Embarrassment

Oh my god, I got it wrong. I’ve just used my time machine to go back six weeks and we have actually just defeated Italy in the World Cup final. The papers are rejoicing, England are dominant and the world is a better place.

Or at least you would think so after England beat the mighty European Champions Greece 4-0 last night. Sure, 4-0 is better than 0-4, but let’s not forget that Greece have been crap in the extreme since they Wimbledon’ed their way to Euro 2004, and, hell, we should be beating teams like this even if our players have to hop on one leg.

But credit where it’s due. McLaren’s average is looking pretty good so far.
